When you're in a cold environment, what is the first thing you want to do? You want to get someplace warm. Your employees are not a group of superhumans; they will likely have the same thing on their minds. When your office is too cold, your team members are more likely to take breaks and go outside to warm up, even if it may not be their designated break time. Every moment that a person is away from their desk is a moment they are not being productive. 

2. Focus

How your body feels has a lot to do with your focus. If you've ever been cold, in the moment, you know how uncomfortable you felt and that it's all you can think about. When your employees are focused more on how they feel, there is always the risk of making a mistake. For example, they could input some information into the computer incorrectly.
